Free Fire Safety Decals
More than 40,000 family pets die every year in house fires, according to Protection One, Inc., a national home security company with offices in Baltimore.
The company has launched a public service project focused on saving the lives of pets. They are providing FREE pet safety decals that alert firefighters that a pets are living in a home. People stick the decals onto a front door or window where they can be easily noticed in case of an emergency.

Pilots N Paws - Uniting Pets with Rescuers
I learned recently about this amazing program called "Pilots N Paws." Its website is intended to be a meeting place for those who rescue, shelter or foster animals, and pilots and plane owners willing to assist with the transportation of animals. And because Pilots N Paws is a 501c3 corporation, your expenses related to transporting rescued pets may be counted as a charitable contribution. Read more about the Pilots N Paws program.
Tax Credit for Pet Owners Under Consideration
A bill currently in the House Ways and Means Committee offers a tax credit up to $3,500 for anyone who owns a “domesticated” pet. Read more about this exciting legislation!
